Thankful Thursdays

I'm thankful....

-that this week wasn't near as long as I thought it would be. Heck, its Thursday already!

-that I won a giveaway about 2 weeks ago on Kayla's blog....and although it was supposed to be a crock pot [that got sold out!], I was able to choose through lots of things on CSN.com (thank you guys!). I settled on a re-chargeable little dust-Vac because, well, I don't have one! Plus, with kids...I WILL need one. Also? I was able to get a new garlic press, too--which was awesome since mine just broke a few weeks ago.

Check this bad boy out:

Isn't he cute in that green color? I just love it.

I'm thankful...

-that I'm learning more and more and more each day to trust God with the unanswered questions...and that I'm finding peace in that.

-for my awesome husband...he's such a hardworking, devoted and amazing man and I seriously can't get enough of him-I just adore him to pieces.

-for good deals...on anything. I'm thankful for clearance racks, discounted items, etc...because I think 99.9% of the time everything I buy is on sale (with the exception of food, I guess).

-for all the pregnant ladies out there right now...it seems to be a ton, but that's an amazing thing! I love seeing all the new life that's coming, will be coming...and look forward to following lots of you on your mommy-journey's.

-that my little girl is being pretty nice to her mommy, keeping off of nerves, allowing me to sleep through the night, and being kind to my bladder particularly at night. When I'm standing upright-now, that's another story. But? I can totally deal with that.

-and I'm thankful that there's 100 days left until I'm 40 weeks!!

-for all of you beautiful ladies who make me smile daily with your witty comments, emails and posts. Love you!

  2. I think it's an economy thing....it seems like every time the economy tanks, pregnant ladies pop up all over the place. Like there's nothing better to do when people are broke.

  3. Jess...maybe for some, but I respectfully disagree with you. In our case, it had absolutely nothing to do with the economy-she was very planned and very much wanted. :)

  5. I was just saying that in regards to the ton of pregnant ladies out there. And I agree..there are a lot. And every one I'm sure is loved and wanted...my husband and I may not have planned this one, but we are beyond excited.

I didn't mean anything by it, negatively, at all. I was more relating your point to the statistic that historically, when the economy goes down, birth rates tend to go up. It's just a fun statistic that I was thinking of.

Sorry if my comment offended. :) I truly wasn't saying that all the babies are surprises, or aren't wanted, or loved. They are, absolutely and completely.

  6. I never buy things that aren't on sale, except food! You shouldn't have to pay full price since everything gets marked down sooner or later! Love it!

We're very thankful for you as well, reading your blog or e-mailing with you brightens my day!

Thanks for the shout out, I'm glad you're loving your gifts! I'm actually thinking of buying one of those dust-vac, it is cute and would be super handy!

  10. In my fever induced state...I thought that photo was the garlic press. And I immediately wanted one.

    Then I realized it's actually the dust-Vac.

I think I need to go back to bed.

  13. hey girl! thanks for the comment! yea i thought 30 weeks sounded alot farther than even 29! it will be fun to know if they are even on their due date! but as weight goes i started at about 130, then lost 5 lbs putting me at 125 which has been my weight for the bulk of my life, and then slowly but overnight i have gained 15ish lbs putting me around 140! to my surprise! i have heard so many talk about gaining 50 lbs or more and i thought i would be one of those, but somehow i havnt! its awesome! im eating healthy, and i think what helps the most is working out every day! keeping a good balance! ...also i have to ask... have we ever met! i cant seem to recall if we have! forgive me if we have, and if not, its always cool to have new friends! but anyways, how is your pregnancy going?
