The hugs & kisses from close family and friends...  and of course, cousins....  Our bellies were filled...  (Huge thanks to my mommy who prepared most of the delicious food!) Song was sung and cake was consumed...  ...and when the day was done, our hearts were fuller than our stomachs.   |
Huge, huge thanks to my sister-in-law, Lyryn for getting most of the above pictures for me, and for the cake & cupcakes. Also, thanks to my parents for all their help with food, letting us use their gorgeous yard. Last but not least to my gorgeous sister for helping bring my birthday vision to life. Could not have done it without you all :) Eme thanks you, too!

Today? I soak up the last day with my 11 month old. Tomorrow, she turns 1 officially.

LOVE the theme, it is special to me...my mom used to sing it to me every night as a little girl and I sang it to Kaiden all the time too. Such a happy day, bright and cheery just like emeline! Happy one year to you too mommy! It is a big milestone for mommy's.

1. Most importantly, how did you plan all of this without becoming an over-emotional ball of tears? My son turns 1 in 3.5 months (I really need to get on the ball) and I've been tearing up at any mention of this occasion.
2. What sites did you find most helpful? Both for ideas and purchasing things.
3. Did you make those chocolate covered pretzels? I need to know how or where I can find them.
4. Tips on not breaking the bank?
