Squishy baby! My nephew is here.

Last night at 6:04pm, my teeny-tiny, sweet sister-in-law, Kesh gave birth to one hunk of a little man. They named him Paxton James...and he's 21 1/2" long, and (wait for it....) 10lbs 5oz. I know. I KNOW.

I still will never understand why short, petite and oh-so-cute little ladies can physically have babies that size and then large'ish women (ha) like me, in a 5'7" frame give birth to 6lb babies. It seems so...wrong. But I'm not complaining ;)

ANYWAY. I'm getting away from the point.

It was so special! He's the first boy to add my side of the family. Our little (big) Paxton James. He has two of the coolest older sisters, and seeing their reaction to him? Was adorable. I'm so glad I could witness it.

Here are few photos--he was only about an hour old!

Sigh. Squishy new babies are the best. The entire Flickr photo set can be found here.

Oh, and I have a post over at The Poop Whisperer today about our Chiropractor experience. Check it out, pretty please ;)

  2. Hi!!! Looove your darker hair and congrats on your new nephew!

I read your post over at the Poop Whisperer. My 11-week-old had colic and my OB/GYN suggested that I take her to the chiropractor. I thought he was nuts! There is a chiropractor in our area that will work on babies. I've been considering it...what if it works? After reading your post, I think I will try and see what happens!

    Thanks!

  20. He's so cute! And I can't tell you how much I LOVE the name Paxton. I have never, ever heard it before and I love it. Don't be surprised if my blog announces baby boy 2 (in a few years anyway) is named Paxton. Kidding. Sort of. Ok, not really. Anyway, you get the picture. :)
Congratulations on your sweet nephew! Hope his Mommy is feeling well too!
