Happy place.

I honestly didn't realize how much that little farm down the road from my house would become like my little sanctuary. I mean, I love it. So much. And so does Eme. And we have gone multiple times. Alone, with friends. Whatever.

Now that Declan is home a few hours early due to a schedule change, we are able to do more things as a family. This has been a bigger blessing than I ever could have imagined. Truly. So yesterday, late afternoon, we took Daddy to introduce him to our little happy place. And it was indeed, happy.

It was just one of those afternoons I enjoyed so whole heartedly. I had lots of full-heart moments.

It was good.

  17. See... this is what I'm talking about when I have those "picture perfect" visions in my head of how I want our family outings to go. lol. I know this is just a snippet into the whole thing, but still. These pictures were so gorgeous. And that poncho? I must know where you got it. And if you're ever in the Charlotte area, you have to take me shopping and teach me how to shop on a budget. Because I suck at that. And apparently, you're a master at it. :)

  18. I loved when you said that on twitter yesterday that your heart was full! When I heard Hubs and the baby giggling upstairs later that night I had that same feeling! That picture of Eme holding Declan's hand is reason #672 why I need a girl! Almost makes me cry! Declan looks so cute in that hat!!

  25. Declan did a great job capturing some good mama moments. I know that's something you wish you had more of. Do you have to ask him to take pictures of you? Freddie never thinks to include me in pictures, but will ask me to take some of him-even though there are tons! He's not insensitive...just clueless :)

I wish we had a spot like that nearby. We do have some new friends who have a lot of land and some fun farmy equipment. I'm excited about Monroe getting to experience that type of stuff.

That poncho is so cute on you. I'm pretty sure if I wore it, I'd look like I work at ChiChi's
