Rosy Cheeks

We woke up to a few inches of snow this morning. It was admittedly really fun to bring Emeline up to the window and show her all the snow. She kept saying "I see snow!!" with excitement.

I admit it. I hate the white stuff. It's pretty to look at it, but it ruins plans, is dangerous, and makes me miserable most of the time. However, having kid(s) kind of helps me be a bit more excited about it. Because it is SO!FUN! for them.

I remember that excitement as a kid.

Anyway. After breakfast, we got bundled up and got outside with our girlie. She's not 100% in love with it yet, but definitely enjoyed her time in the white stuff.

Then we came inside to warm banana bread fresh out of the oven. Today? It's been a pretty good day. :)

  1. JEALOUS. I adore snow, which figures since we rarely get any. We had a huge snow last year, which probably means none this year. But I'm not giving up hope yet. :)
Love the pictures! And you now have me craving some banana bread.

  6. Love your pictures...I'm not that much of a fan for the cold and snow either but you gotta admit it's pretty for picture taking ;-) And of course coming in from the cold and snuggling up with little ones to get warm again ;-)

  8. LOVE your headband thing! SO CUTE ON YOU! Y'all are adorable. I just went to PA to visit a blog friend in December & was so sad it didn't snow. It actually started snowing as we were at the airport for me to fly back home. I ran outside just for a pic! HAHA! I'm in Louisiana & it's snowed about 5 times in my life. And by snow, i mean little flurries. It only covered the ground once or twice!

I did go to Illinois one year & it was the coldest it had been there in many years. I was pretty much miserable. My bones hurt. HAHA! So i can understand how it would get old. It is so beautiful, though!

  9. TOTALLY agree with you about the snow! It's nice to look at, but it SO ruins plans, and isn't cool to drive in.
    Glad Emeline liked it :)

  16. Banana bread is my fave! You're a better momma than me. When it snowed here a couple weeks ago, I didn't take L out. But dude, you could still see the grass. Next time, I swear. I'll be better. ;)
